How exact are your beds' measurements?Updated 6 months ago
For our Chew Proof Armored beds, the dimensions listed are exact, and are taken from the outer edges of the corners of the frame. If you are purchasing the bed for a crate and the inner dimensions of the crate are smaller than the listed dimensions for the armored bed, the bed will not fit. You will need to go down a size instead.
Along that same vein, if the crate's interior matches the dimensions of the bed exactly, the armored bed may get stuck against the walls when you are attempting to install it. For best results, you should have at least half an inch of wiggle room between the interior dimensions of your crate and those of the bed.
For our Tough Ripstop beds, our dimensions are typically very accurate, but some beds have more variability. For example, our orthopedic beds are very stiff and tend to fill out their covers tightly, holding taut to their listed dimensions. These beds have very little give, and won't fit well in spaces smaller than their dimensions. Our pillow beds, on the other hand, have a looser, softer fill, and depending on how filled the mattress is and how old the bed is, there may be a little variability in their dimensions.
