Do I have to use the legs that come with the elevated beds?Updated 2 months ago
For the majority of our armored beds, you must install and use the legs with the bed in order for it to provide any kind of support and comfort. These beds do not have padding of their own, so they rely on being elevated at least 3" off the ground in order to properly cradle and conform to your dog's body. If you do not install the legs, the material will be, at most, about a half inch off the ground, which means your dog will immediately feel the floor when they lay down. This is the case for the following beds:
- Chew Proof Armored™ Ripstop Elevated Dog Bed
- Chew Proof Armored™ Mesh Elevated Dog Bed
- Chew Proof Armored™ Vinyl Elevated Dog Bed
The only exception to this rule is the Chew Proof Armored™ Padded Dog Crate Bed, which has a cushioned center. The cushioning allows it to provide support without the need for elevation, so it can be used with or without legs.
