Do your beds include a mattress liner?Updated 5 months ago

Our Tough Ripstop Pillow beds and our Tough Ripstop Orthopedic beds all come with an interior liner to protect the foam. This liner is mostly gray, with one yellow side that is breathable (to keep the mattress from holding air like a balloon). For the orthopedic beds, the liner can be unzipped and separated from the foam if it needs to be washed. Four our pillow beds, the shredded foam sits loose within the channels of the liner, and cannot be removed.

The mattress liners that we use are made from 600D ballistic material, which makes them a lot stronger than your average mattress liners. Due to this, our mattresses will withstand wear and tear much better and will hold up to the test of time. They are not chew- or dig-resistant, though, so you should never leave an uncovered bed with a destructive dog.

Like our exterior Tough covers, the mattress liner also provides a layer of protection against water. While not completely waterproof, these liners will help keep any moisture from weather or a wet dog from reaching the foam. Please bear in mind that submerging the bed, allowing it to sit in a puddle, or exposing it to more caustic fluids like urine or vomit, can overcome the resistance of the liner and allow fluid to reach the mattress interior.
